Account Manager - Digital Marketing Agency
XO Pixel Creative is looking for a freelance Account Manager to be the dedicated point of contact for our diverse roster of clients across industries like beauty, construction, and tech. You'll handle inquiries, share account updates, deliver content, and provide day-to-day support, acting as the connector between our clients and our fulfillment team. We're after someone personable, positive, and empathetic, who leads with warmth and makes every client feel genuinely taken care of.
About this role
The Role
As our Account Manager, you are the dedicated point of contact for every client we work with. You handle their inquiries, share account updates, deliver content, and provide the kind of support that makes clients feel genuinely taken care of. You're the connector between our clients and our fulfillment team, making sure nothing falls through the cracks and everyone stays in the loop.
This role is all about people. You'll work with clients across a wide range of industries, which means you're naturally curious, quick to learn, and comfortable shifting tone and context depending on who you're talking to. A beauty brand and a construction company need very different things from us, and you know how to show up for both.
You lead with empathy, bring positive energy to every interaction, and have a knack for making clients feel heard, valued, and understood. When something goes sideways, you're the calm in the storm. When things are going great, you're the one celebrating the wins.
This is a remote contract role with set hours of 9am to 5pm EST, Monday through Friday, so you'll be fully available for clients and our team throughout the workday.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the dedicated point of contact for all XO Pixel clients across a diverse range of industries
- Handle client inquiries with warmth, clarity, and a quick turnaround
- Share regular account updates so clients always know where things stand
- Deliver content and assets to clients, making sure every handoff feels seamless
- Provide ongoing support, answering questions and solving small problems before they become big ones
- Act as the connector between clients and our fulfillment team, keeping communication smooth in both directions
- Adapt your communication style to fit the client, whether you're chatting with a beauty founder, a construction company owner, or a tech startup
- Build genuine, long-term relationships that make clients excited to keep working with us
What You Bring
- 2+ years of account management, client services, or customer success experience (agency background is a big plus)
- Comfort and confidence working with clients across many different industries
- A warm, personable communication style that puts people at ease
- Empathy as a default setting. You listen first, understand the full picture, and respond thoughtfully
- Positivity and patience, even on the tougher days
- Strong written communication. You can write a message that's clear, kind, and on-brand
- Curiosity to learn the language and pace of each industry we serve
- Organization and follow-through. You don't drop the ball, and clients never have to chase you for an answer
- Ability to commit to consistent 9am to 5pm EST working hours, Monday through Friday
- Comfort with project management and communication tools (Asana, Monday, ClickUp, Slack, or similar)
- A reliable remote setup, with strong internet and a quiet space for calls
